BUFFINGTON, Circuit Judge.
In this case Sophia Y. Miller, a citizen of Pennsylvania, the beneficiary in an accident indemnity insurance policy issued to her husband, Samuel S. Miller, by the Maryland Casualty Company, a corporation of Maryland, brought suit against that company to recover indemnity for his death. The policy in question indemnified against “bodily injuries * * * effected directly and independently of all other causes through external, violent and accidental means.” After the proofs were in, the court gave binding instructions to the jury to find for the defendant.
