Plaintiff, John W. Miller, appeals from an order entered April 13, 1998, granting the petition of defendant, Robert L. Balfour, to vacate a summary judgment order pursuant to section 2—1401 of the Code of Civil Procedure (735 ILCS 5/2—1401 (West 1996)). The summary judgment order granted plaintiffs petition to register a clerk’s default judgment from the State of California.
