Petitioner, Brian G. Evans, appeals from an order of the circuit court of Winnebago County dated March 15, 1990, vacating, on jurisdictional grounds, its prior default judgment of September 13, 1989, assessing certain attorney fees and costs against respondent, Corporate Services. The trial court vacated the prior judgment as void because the notice provisions of section 19(g) of the Workers’ Compensation Act (Act) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 48, par. 138.19(g)) were not followed, and the court considered those provisions…
