Mrs. Ester King Davis was in the business of raising chickens for the market. She bought from a local dealer, the defendant, Craig Laman, some chicken feed manufactured by the defendant Quaker Oats Company. She fed the product to her young chickens and claims that as a result, many of them sickened and died; and that the chicken house became contaminated, forcing her to suspend tbe business for a considerable period.
