Following a jury trial on July 6, 1989, the defendant-appellant, Ralph E. Thomas, was convicted in the district court for Knox County on the charge of failure to appear, in violation of Neb. Rev. Stat. § 29-908 (Reissue 1989). Defendant was sentenced to imprisonment for 1 year, to be served consecutively to a sentence previously imposed for a conviction of assault.
On appeal to this court, defendant assigns as error the actions of the trial court (1) in failing to grant defendant’s motion for directed verdict in that the evidence was not sufficient to support defendant’s conviction,…
