This is an appeal from a judgment of sentence for possession of marijuana. Appellant argues that evidence used in his trial was illegally obtained.

The facts of this case are as follows: Appellant was stojiped by a police officer for passing a stop sign. While requesting appellant’s driver license and vehicle *128registration, the police officer noticed a long smoking pipe jutting out from under the passenger’s seat.
