This suit was by the Continental Supply Company against G. T. Adams, W. R. Powers, and Mrs. Cynthia Creagh, and other parties who were later dismissed, as members of an association known as the Man O’ War Oil Syndicate, for debt jointly and severally incurred by the association and S. S. Shelby, doing business in the name of Black Hawk Drilling Company, on a promissory note executed by the association and S. S.
