Appellant was convicted by a jury of: (1) possessing cocaine with intent to distribute it in violation of D.C.Code § 33-541(a)(1) (1993); (2) possessing a firearm during a dangerous offense in violation of D.C.Code § 22-3204(b) (1989); (3) carrying a pistol without a license in violation of D.C.Code § 22-3204(a) (1989); (4) possessing an unregistered firearm in violation of D.C.Code § 6-2311(a) (1989) (two counts); and (5) unlawfully possessing ammunition in violation of D.C.Code § 6-2361(3) (1989) (two counts).
