Defendant was found guilty by a district court jury of burglary and theft of over $2,500, Minn.Stat. §§ 609.05, 609.52, subds. 2(1), and 3(1), 609.58, subd. 2(2) (1982). The trial court sentenced defendant to 44 months in prison, which is the presumptive sentence for the burglary offense (a severity level VI offense) by a person with defendant’s criminal history score (four).
