OPINION

{¶ 1} Defendants-appellants, Locations, Ltd., and Jack K. Beatley ("appellants") appeal from a judgment entered against them on June 19, 2003, by the Franklin County Municipal Court, in favor of plaintiff-appellee, Michael Paul Bodmann. For the reasons that follow, we reverse.

{¶ 2} On November 12, 2002, appellee filed a complaint in the Franklin County Municipal Court, Small Claims Division, seeking damages from appellants for the alleged wrongful withholding of part of a security deposit at the expiration of a residential lease agreement.
