[T1] Judith D. Kimble (Mother) filed a petition to recover unpaid child support, medical expenses, and other monies due her pursuant to a decree of divorce. The district court denied the petition, finding that Mother had entered into an oral agreement with James D. Ellis (Father), wherein she agreed to relinquish any right to pursue recovery of monies she had expended prior to the emancipation of the parties' children in exchange for a lump sum settlement.
