Maryland Cup Corporation, doing business as Sweetheart Products Group (“Sweetheart”), appeals from a jury verdict awarding Amarin Plastics Inc. (“Amarin”) damages for breach of contract.

The business relationship between the two parties began approximately 18 years ago. Sam Shapiro owned and operated Sweetheart, a company which was undertaking to sell plastic utensils — knives, forks, spoons, and the like.
