This is a petition for a writ of supersedeas to stay the effect of a preliminary injunction pending an appeal therefrom by the petitioners herein.

The action was commenced in the county of Los Angeles on September 11, 1929, and in the name of the People on the Relation of Fred G. Stevenot, Director of Natural Resources of the State of California against some forty-three defendants who are oil producers owning oil-wells and leases in the Santa Fe oil-field in said county.
