(relator), filed a qui tam action in the name of the State of Illinois (the state) against defendants Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Corporation (Burlington Corporation) and Burlington Coat Factory Direct Corporation (Burlington Direct) (collectively defendants) pursuant to the Whistle-blower Reward and Protection Act (740 ILCS 175/1 et seq.
