MEMORANDUM OPINION
TILLEY, Chief Judge.
Plaintiff Wilkerson filed suit under the North Carolina Retaliatory Employment Discrimination Act (“REDA”) against Defendant Pilkington North America, Inc. (“Pilkington” or “Defendant”), alleging that she was wrongfully terminated for pursuing workers’ compensation benefits. The case was removed by Pilkington to federal court on January 12, 2001 pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §§ 1441 and 1446.
