This was an action brought by the appellee to recover the proceeds of a certificate of deposit, which was issued to her by the Citizens Bank of Freedom, Indiana, for the face amount of $1,000.00, and which was applied by the appellant, the successor of said Citizens Bank, to the payment of a note executed by Samuel R. Guard & Company, Inc.
