for the Court.

After a jury returned a verdict awarding him $0 in damages, the plaintiff, William J. Murray, moved for a new trial. The defendant, Jennifer A. Bromley, now appeals from the Superior Court order granting the plaintiff’s motion. This case came before the Supreme Court pursuant to an order directing the parties to appear and show cause why the issues raised in the appeal should not summarily be decided.
