Defendant was convicted after a jury trial of attempted murder and of two counts of aggravated murder. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for 30 years for each aggravated murder conviction and 20 years for attempted murder. All sentences were made consecutive. Defendant makes three assignments of error: (1) the denial of his demurrer to the indictment charging him with two counts of aggravated murder; (2) the denial of his motion for a new trial because he was under medication throughout the trial; and (3) the failure to require a presentence report prior…
