This action was prosecuted by the respondent, Carl Anderson, to recover damages from the appellant railway company, for causing the death of his minor child, Elsie Anderson, aged four years. The trial resulted in a verdict in favor of the plaintiff for the sum of $2,000. The defendant moved for a new trial and appealed from the judgment and order denying its motion. A great number of errors have been assigned, but they have been grouped by appellant under four general heads, and we shall consider and deal with them in the same manner.
