The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) brought this action alleging that Siouxland Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, L.L.P. (“Siouxland”), terminated Richelle Dooley and refused to hire Angie Gacke because they were pregnant, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended by the Pregnancy Discrimination Act. A jury found that Siouxland discriminated against Dooley and Gacke and awarded back pay to each.
