OPINION AND ORDER
SESSIONS, District Judge.
Merchants Bank appeals from a decision of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Vermont which held that a Debtor’s equity of redemption period is tolled by the automatic stay provision of the Bankruptcy Code, 11 U.S.C. § 362(a), rather than simply extended for 60 days by 11 U.S.C. § 108(b). For the reasons that follow, the bankruptcy court’s decision is REVERSED.
