OPINION

JACOBSON, Chief Judge.

This is a special action review of a November 29, 1983 Industrial Commission (Commission) award for what are denominated “death benefits.” The issue on review concerns the preclusive effect, if any, of a previous award entered on November 2, 1981. The petitioner, Red Bluff Mines, Inc., asserts that this award determined its sole liability for all claims and therefore precludes the present award.
