In this case that converted from Chapter 13 to Chapter 7, Ford Motor Credit Company (“FMCC”) objects to a motion filed by the Debtors, Ray and Diane J. Rodgers (“DEBTORS”), to redeem a 1996 Ford Mustang from FMCC’S lien. FMCC opposes the redemption for two reasons: that the proposed redemption is untimely since the motion for redemption was filed more than forty-five days after the DEBTORS’ statement of intention and, that the redemption price should be determined by the vehicle’s current value rather than the balance remaining to be paid on the…
