Introduction

In this diversity-based suit, plaintiffs sought damages from defendants for injuries resulting from the collision of plaintiffs’ minivan into the back of a truck driven by an employee of defendant Chris Hunt Water Hauling Contractor, Inc. (Hunt). Plaintiffs alleged negligence on the part of both the driver of the truck and defendant Rucker. The remaining defendants were alleged to be Rucker’s employers and/or principals.
