OPINION1

BUSTAMANTE, Judge.

{1} Defendant Luis Madrigal (Defendant) appeals his conviction for trafficking, conspiracy to commit trafficking, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Because we conclude that Defendant was twice put in jeopardy for the same crime when the State both forfeited his property and subjected him to a criminal trial, we further conclude that Defendant’s convictions must be vacated. See N.M. Const. art. II, § 15; NMSA 1978, § 30-MO (1963).
