At the April term, 1906, of the criminal court of Cook county, an indictment was returned charging George Frankenberg and John R. McDonnell with the larceny of certain household goods belonging to Lucy J. Kimball. The cause was tried at the March term, 1908. At the conclusion of all the evidence the trial court directed a verdict of not guilty as to John R. McDonnell and a verdict of guilty was rendered by the jury as to George Frankenberg.
