The original bill was filed in this cause by Amanda Holmes against the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Joseph Gooch, a minor, and Melinda Dillard, his guardian, to recover on $1,000 insurance policy on the life of Frank Holmes.
The bill alleged that a policy for $1,000 was issued on the life of Frank Holmes and was made payable to his step-son, Joseph Gooch; that the policy contained a clause reserving the right of the assured to change the beneficiary at any time he desired; that sometime after the issuance of said policy, the assured desired to change the beneficiary and to substitute…
