Appellant Earnest Durant, Jr. filed a complaint in the District Court against his former employer, the District of Columbia Department of Corrections, claiming violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (“Title VII”), 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e-2000e-17 (2012).
