The city of Reno contends that Myron Lake’s pre-emption claim attached to the land in controversy before the right of way grant was made, and that Charles Crocker, having acquired Lake’s title, sold a large number of town lots in Reno during the years immediately following 1866, by reference to an official map or maps then on file in the offices of the county clerk or county recorder of Washoe county; that Crocker caused these maps to be made and filed; on them there is an open space, marked “Plaza,” extending along the north side of the railroad company’s…
