The respondent, Maurice R. Franks, failed to appear and answer a multiple count disciplinary complaint which resulted in a default being entered against him. See People v. Richards, 748 P.2d 341 (Colo.1987). The hearing board entered findings of fact and a recommendation for disbarment that was approved by the hearing panel and submitted to this court. We approve the findings and the recommendation that Maurice R. Franks be disbarred, assessed the costs of these proceedings, and be ordered to pay restitution to his former clients and others.
