Plaintiff Intellect Wireless, Inc. (“IW”) has accused defendants HTC Corporation and HTC America, Inc. (collectively “HTC”) of infringing U.S. Patent No. 7,266,186 (“the '186 patent”) entitled “Method and Apparatus for Improved Paging Receiver and System” and U.S. Patent No. 7,310,416 (“the '416 patent”) entitled “Method and Apparatus for Improved Personal Communication Devices and System.” It is alleged that HTC has infringed the patents by making or selling “wireless portable communication devices…
