CRAWFORD, Judge:

On January 14 and 23; February 13; and April 3, 10, 11-14, and 17, 1989, appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of officers and enlisted members at Bad Kreuznach and Mainz, Germany. Contrary to his pleas, appellant was convicted * of premeditated murder, attempted rape, and felony-murder, in violation of Articles 118 and 80, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 918 and 880, respectively.
