Otis E. Turman brings this habeas corpus action pursuant to 28 U.S.C.A. § 2241, attacking the validity of a judg*810ment of conviction for the offense of statutory rape, entered against him by the Criminal District Court of Dallas County, Texas, on February 22, 1961. Turman is presently serving a 50-year sentence under such conviction in the Texas Department of Corrections.
