This is an appeal from a Decision and Order of the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review (“Board”) denying the appellant’s claim for benefits.

The appellant was employed as a machinist by the United States Steel Corporation at their Christy Park Works for a period of approximately 4½ years, and he was laid off on December 30, 1970, because of a reduction in the work force. When he applied for unemployment benefits, his application was refused by the Bureau of Employment Security (“BES”) solely because he was a full-time student at California State College, and,…
