Due to the rising number of asbestos-related personal injury lawsuits filed in the 1980s, a group of producers of asbestos and asbestos-containing products (“Members” or “Participating Producers”) joined together and formed the Center for Claims Resolution (the “Center”) to administer asbestos personal injury claims on behalf of the Members.
