James S. Giles and others brought this suit in the Chancery Court against the Board of Supervisors of Adams County and others. The complainants are the owners of Clermont Plantation, which consists of Sections 4, 6 and 14, Township 7 North, and Section 21, Township 8 North; all in Range 3 West, in Adams County, Mississippi. Fractional Section 5, Township 7 North, Range 3 West is school land, in lieu of Sixteenth Section. These lands abut on the Mississippi River.
