On this appeal we are presented with, inter alia, two novel issues. The first, apparently an issue of first impression in our courts, involves the question of whether a corrupt police officer’s knowledge of his own illegal conduct, which was collateral to and uninvolved with this defendant’s prosecution, can be imputed to the prosecution for the purposes of Brady v Maryland (373 US 83).
