SADLER, Justice.

The question for review is that of defendant’s personal liability to plaintiff (appellee here) on an alleged promise to pay the latter’s merchandise account out of the profits arising from the management of the business of defendant’s then son-in-law, which management it was claimed the defendant had taken over and assumed.
