Samuel T. Collard, a fireman in the employ of the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis Railway Company, was. killed in a collision near Indianapolis on May 19th, 1913. His father, Valentine T. Collard, qualified as his administrator and brought this action under Federal .Employers’ Liability Act to' recover damages for. his death. The trial resulted in a verdict for $10,000.00, *241$6,500.00 of which was apportioned to the father and $3,500.00 to the mother of the decedent. The railway company appeals.
