The defendant, the Federation of Technical College Teachers, Local 1942, American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO (hereinafter the union), has appealed from a judgment of the Superior Court which granted the application of the plaintiff, the Board of Trustees for State Technical Colleges (hereinafter the board), to vacate an arbitration award and which denied the union’s cross application seeking confirmation of the arbitrator’s award. The application and cross application were made pursuant to the provisions of General Statutes §§ 52-417 and 52-418.
