Trial of this damage suit in the court below resulted in a verdict for the plaintiffs in the amount of $13,000 on plaintiff-husband’s count for personal injuries and in favor of plaintiff-wife on her derivative action in the amount of $100. No issue of liability is raised in connection with this appeal. The husband, a 53-year-old carpenter, hereafter referred to as plaintiff, was operating a motor vehicle westbound on 36 Highway near 11th Street in St. Joseph, Missouri on the 9th of January, 1969.
