OPINION AND ORDER
LAFFITTE, District Judge.
This is a diversity action for recovery of damages suffered in an automobile accident. Plaintiff Judith Hernández Moreno’s original complaint named as defendants Samuel Serrano and ABC Insurance Company, his unknown insurance carrier. 1 Plaintiff alleged in the original complaint that on November 7,1985 while driving her vehicle she was struck by a Mercedes Benz owned and operated by Serrano.
