Appeal from a judgment of the Supreme Court (Lament, J.), rendered September 7, 2000 in Albany County, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree.

In the course of a drug interdiction performed by the Albany County Sheriff’s Department on September 15, 1999 at a bus terminal in the City of Albany, defendant was stopped, questioned and ultimately arrested by police after officers discovered a substance alleged to be cocaine among defendant’s possessions.
