The petitioner-plaintiff, Winston Guthrie, D.M.D., sued Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama for defamation, malicious defamation, and tortious interference with contractual relations. The trial court entered summary judgment in favor of Blue Cross on all three claims. On Dr. Guthrie's appeal, the Court of Civil Appeals reversed the summary judgment and remanded.
