bThe defendant, Gary Girard, appeals his conviction and sentence for possession of heroin. For the following reasons, we affirm.

PROCEDURAL HISTORY OF CASE

The defendant was charged by bill of information with possession of heroin. At arraignment, the defendant entered a plea of not guilty. The trial court denied pretrial motions. After a jury trial, the defendant was found guilty as charged.
