Defendant Maurice Pierre Roustio was charged in a one count indictment with robbing the Lincoln Trail State Bank, in Fairview Heights, Illinois, on August 26, 1969, while armed with a dangerous weapon, a gun, in violation of Title 18, U.S.C.A. § 2113(a) and (d). 1 Following a trial by jury on February 1, 1971, a verdict of guilty was returned.
