[¶ 1] This appeal presents the question of whether a provision in the DNA Data Base and Data Bank Act, 25 M.R.S. §§ 1571-1578 (2008), 1 that compels certain criminal defendants to provide DNA samples following a conviction violates those defendants’ constitutional right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures. Because we conclude that it does not, and we are also not persuaded by the other appellate issues he presents, we affirm Michael Hutchinson’s conviction of murder, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 201(1)(A) (1983), 2 and his sentence of life imprisonment imposed by the Superior Court…
