(a) Under the workmen's compensation act (Code, §§ 114-101 et seq.), "employer" applies to a receiver or trustee of an individual, firm, association, or corporation, engaged in any business for gain or profit, or to a legal representative of a deceased employer, where the injuries to the employee took place before their becoming such representative, and applies as well to injuries arising during the tenure of such representative status.(b) Where such a business is so operated, and such representative employer commits a tort for which the deceased would have been liable if committed during…
