Appellant argues that the district court erred by denying him an evidentiary hearing on his custody-modification motion. We reverse and remand.

FACTS

Appellant-father Ishmael Amarreh and respondent-mother Hamida Amarreh met after they immigrated to Columbus, Ohio, from Somalia. They lived together and had two children in Columbus, a son in 2003, and a daughter in 2005. The parties are highly educated.
