July 11, 1941. The opinion of the Court was delivered by The appellant, D.P. Coursey, was the successful bidder at a judicial sale for the lot of land described in the complaint, but he refused to comply with his bid upon the ground that title to the premises is defective. Upon the return to a rule issued against him, the questions at issue were referred to the Master of Greenwood County, who was directed to take the testimony and report his findings of fact and conclusions of law.
